Sober and Social – Your Local Community

Want to connect with others in your area? Do you want to make friends with a network of people who don’t centre their lives around bars, drinking and taking chemicals to socialize?

For me, I’ve found that one of the easiest ways to connect with others who have similar values in your area is through Meetup Groups. Meetup is the world’s largest network of local groups. Meetup makes it easy for anyone to organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face.

To find out if there is a group that you would be interested in, head to and see what the results are on the front page. If you’re interested in socialising with others that don’t drink, under the All Meetups tab, search for “non-drinkers”, “no alcohol”, “drug free” etc.

Depending on where you live, there is a great chance that there will be a local group near you who likes to socialise – without intoxicants! :)

However, if there is no alcohol and drug-free group available, why not start your own? It’s really easy, and it’s a lot of fun. Just click on the Start a Meetup Group and follow the simple steps.

If you’d like to start an UntoXicated Meetup Group, get in touch with us via our Contact page. We can offer support in the form of guidance and marketing material.

Forming a Meetup Group is an opportunity to get local sponsors from businesses, brands, or other organizations in your community with whom you could start a mutually beneficial relationship.

To see an example of the Meetup Group that I formed in Sydney, have a look at Sober and Social – UntoXicated, Sydney. Our group gets together for affordable and fun activities including: sightseeing, exploring new cafes, movies, dinners,
music gigs, cycling, barbecues, sober parties and much more! It’s up to you what you do with your group!

All the best with finding or forming your local group! If you get stuck, contact us at UntoXicated!
