Terri Batsakis – Terrific Fitness, and Straight Edged

Terri is the founder and owner of Terrific Fitness, a Boot Camp and Personal Training Company that transforms people’s lives.

Terri empowers her members with the knowledge and skills to become the best version of themselves in health, fitness, emotionally and mentally. She takes a holistic approach to personal transformation and tailors programs to the individual needs of her members. Terri is in the business of empowering people with the knowledge they require to make a permanent change that they can maintain, on their own, without a Personal Trainer there to hold their hand. For Terri and her members, it’s about life changes.

What do you do in your everyday life – what’s your livelihood?

I love to train and make serious demands of my body. I believe I have been blessed with an abled body and so will work it to its full potential. There was a time in my life where I nearly lost the use of my abled body, so I never take it for granted now. Together with my husband and 2 gorgeous kids, we love to kayak at every opportunity, we love to run and play and love our Martial Arts. I am working on obtaining my pro-level in Muay Thai Kickboxing by the end of this year, a dream I’ve had since I was a kid. We love to spar each other and the dogs and find there is too much life to live for wasting on television!

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about a lot of things, but my biggest passion is helping people become better versions of themselves, helping them become genuinely happy and content within themselves and their lives. Helping people get back in control of their lives, in every way possible. In turn, this will help them become better parents, where applicable, and empower their kids with the same value.  I am passionate about kids, and adults, having the best opportunity to be the best they can be, without following the crowd like sheep!

How long have you been drug, tobacco and alcohol free?

I have never tried drugs. I grew up in a rough neighborhood and saw too many kids overdose, so I stayed clear of drugs. I have been tobacco free for 12 ½ years now, having quit when I fell pregnant to my daughter. And I have been alcohol free 100% for the past 2 years, since becoming a Personal Trainer, and becoming the best version of myself.

Why are you drug, tobacco and alcohol free?

Because I can. Because I don’t need it to have a great time. Because I am not a sheep. The most important reason? Because having eliminated a number of illnesses and diseases, including Cancer, from my body, the last thing I want to do is contaminate it with any more toxins! I have been given another chance at life, and I am living it to my greatest potential; clean and pure, mind body and spirit! And anyway, how can I teach people to clean up their bodies, if I’m filling mine with toxins? I am not a hypocrite. I walk the walk.

Do you have any life tips for others that you’d like to share?
